Refund, Cancellation & Service Policy 1st Estimator LLC
At 1st Estimator LLC, we specialize in professional construction estimating services, cost estimating, and material takeoff services for contractors, builders, developers, and construction firms. All services are digital, customized, and project-specific. Due to the nature of our professional services, the following Refund, Cancellation & Service Policy applies to all clients.
Digital & Customized Services Disclaimer
All services provided by 1st Estimator LLC are digital and tailored to individual construction projects. Once work begins, professional time, estimating software, and expert resources are dedicated exclusively to the client’s project. Therefore, standard product return policies do not apply.
A. No Physical Returns
Since construction estimating and takeoff services are delivered electronically and do not involve physical goods, physical returns are not applicable under any circumstances.
B. Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be considered only in limited situations, including:
- Payment has been made, but no estimating or takeoff work has started
- The project is cancelled before an estimator is assigned
- A duplicate or accidental payment was processed
All refund requests must be submitted in writing and are subject to review. Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method, excluding any applicable transaction or processing fees.
Non-Refundable Construction Estimating Services
Refunds will not be issued if:
- Estimating, takeoff, or analysis work has already started
- Any deliverables, reports, BOQs, or cost breakdowns have been shared
- Delays occur due to missing, inaccurate, or late information from the client
- The client changes project scope or requirements after work begins
Client Responsibilities
- Provide complete and accurate drawings, specifications, and project details
- Respond promptly to clarification requests
- Review deliverables within a reasonable timeframe
Delays caused by incomplete information, late responses, or delayed approvals do not qualify for refunds or discounts.
Revisions Policy
- Revision requests are submitted within 3 business days of delivery
- Revisions do not include new drawings, trades, or scope expansion
Additional revisions or scope changes may require additional fees and revised timelines.
Monthly & Retainer Estimating Services
- Fees are non-refundable once the billing cycle begins
- Services remain active for the full billing period regardless of usage
- Cancellation requires 30 days’ written notice prior to renewal
- Partial refunds are not available for unused services
Failure to provide timely notice will result in automatic renewal and billing.
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Clients must contact 1st Estimator LLC before initiating any chargeback or payment dispute.
Force Majeure & Service Delays
- Natural disasters or extreme weather
- Power outages or internet failures
- Third-party software or platform disruptions
This also includes delays caused by late client communication, incomplete project data, delayed approvals, or failure to respond promptly. Such delays do not qualify for refunds.
Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall 1st Estimator LLC be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed bids, lost profits, or business losses resulting from the use of our construction estimating services.
Policy Updates
1st Estimator LLC reserves the right to update or modify this policy at any time. The most current version will always be published on our website.
Acceptance of Policy
By making payment, signing a proposal, or using our construction estimating and material takeoff services, the client acknowledges and agrees to this Refund, Cancellation & Service Policy in full.
